Iris Lazarus, IB World Schools Senior Manager, spent March 13th at Mandela International Magnet School. There, she met with SFPS cabinet, consulted with our IB coordinators and conducted snapshot observations in many classrooms. She was very complimentary on the level of student engagement, collaboration, and joy!
On March 14th, 20 coordinators and principals from public IB schools in New Mexico met at Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School in an intense IB workshop with Ms. Lazarus. We also observed classrooms, looking at inquiry and opportunities for student thinking. We hope these sessions can continue and have a positive impact on IB schools in New Mexico!
